How Essential Rentals Inc. Got Started
Essential Rentals Inc. was founded by Titus & April Smith, a husband-and-wife team from Hickory, NC. Titus—a former college athlete and North Carolina State Trooper—has always been driven by discipline, service, and a deep-rooted desire to help others. April, who currently works in the orthodontic field, is the detail-oriented powerhouse behind the scenes.
Together, the Smiths began exploring small business opportunities and were originally drawn to the laundromat industry. But the more they researched, the more they realized that washer and dryer rentals offered a better, faster way to serve families directly in their homes.
What started as market research turned into a mission.
Essential Rentals Inc. was born. With a commitment to hard work, faith, and transparency, Titus and April set out to build a business that offers something most rental chains don’t: honest pricing, dependable service, and a personal touch.
